Dakota Family Dentistry has been in the current location since 2000, but many patients have been coming to this location for 30+ years. We pride ourselves on personal service and a family atmosphere. Dr. Christina Van Guilder is a graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and has been with Dakota Family Dentistry since July of 2007. She attended St. Mary's University in Winona for her undergraduate work and has a BA in Biology and Chemistry. She is a native of the East Side of Saint Paul and currently lives there with her husband, Scott and daschund, Dexter. In her free time she loves to go up north to the cabin, play her trombone with Kenwood Symphony Orchestra and golf with her family. She is also a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Julie has been in the dental profession since 1995. She has been a Hygienist since 1998 and has worked for Dakota Family Dentistry since 2001. She is a graduate of Wisconsin Eau-Claire with a BA is Sociology and Communications. She has her Associate of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from Normandale Community College. She currently lives in South Maplewood with her husband Kevin and three children, Ben, Claire and Natalie. Her hobbies outside of work include camping with her family, scrap-booking, biking, shopping, and watching her kids grow.
Jane is a Registered Dental Hygienist who graduated from the University of Minnesota. While attending University, she met her husband who was in dental school there. After graduation and her husband’s two and a half year military tour in Okinawa, she worked part time with him in his West St. Paul dental practice. Since his retirement 6 years ago, she continues to work part time at the same office, now called Dakota Family Dentistry. She truly enjoys her profession, co-workers, patients (many who have become good friends over the years), and her new boss, Dr. Christina Rohr. She has 4 children and 10 grandchildren who are the delight of her life. She enjoys many hobbies such as travel, golf, tennis, exercising, and any water activities at her lake home in St. Croix Falls, WI where she and her husband now reside.
Darlene is a Registered Dental Assistant. She has been a dental assistant since 1993 and she graduated from Concorde Career Institute in Minneapolis, MN. She grew up in a small town in the UP of Michigan. After graduation she moved to Minnesota to go to college where she got her degree. She now resides in Roberts, WI with her husband, two daughters and two Alaskan malamutes. Her hobbies include snowmobiling, four-wheeling, and she enjoys the outdoors.
Rachelle has been in the dental field since 2002. She is married and has 3 children. She enjoys attending her children's sporting events including hockey, football, baseball and softball. Her hobbies include going on vacation, reading and playing cards with friends and familiy.
Rachel lives in West St. Paul with her husband, Jerry. She plays clarinet for the Inver Hills Community Band and hopes to be starting a family soon. She also enjoys music, theatre and dining out whenever possible. She has been with Dakota Family Dentistry since August of 2008.
